Our Services
True North Aviation operates across four service lines - parts supply, mobile repair teams, engineering consultancy, and training. They're designed to work independently or together. Most of our clients come to us for one thing and stay because we can handle the next one too.
Aircraft Parts & Supply Chain
We source, and deliver aircraft components across commercial platforms - with the documentation to back them up. Our team has direct MRO background, which means we understand the operational context behind a requirement: what the aircraft is doing, what the maintenance event involves, and whether an alternative is genuinely viable or just cheaper on paper. We're ASA-100 accredited, which sets a baseline for traceability and quality standards across everything we handle.
Our virtual consignments span over 20,000 line items and are strategically positioned between the EU, UK and US markets - allowing us to serve customers on both sides of the Atlantic without the lead times that come with sourcing across a single region.
Mobile Repair Teams
MRO slots are tight, repositioning an aircraft is expensive, and not every repair justifies either. We deploy certified structural repair technicians directly to your location - line station, remote base, or your own hangar - and deliver the work as a fixed-price turnkey project or integrated manpower support, depending on what makes more sense for the scope.
This capability is delivered in partnership with SMW Group, a Slovakia-based team with over 25 years of experience in aircraft structural maintenance. The partnership is formalised under a binding commercial agreement, which means continuity, accountability, and a single point of contact for the client throughout.
Platforms covered: Airbus, Boeing & Embraer commercial models
Typical scope includes:
Skin repairs and panel replacements
Frame and stringer repairs
Pickle fork and wing attachment area work
Floor structure repairs and floor panel replacement under repair-by-manufacture procedures
Corrosion treatment and repair
AOG structural response
Engineering & Consultancy
Our consultancy work is grounded in direct operational experience - we've managed maintenance projects, ran workshops, overseen redeliveries, and sat on both sides of the MRO-operator relationship. When you bring us in, you get engineers who have done the work, not advisors who have studied it.
Where we typically get involved:
Aircraft redeliveries and transitions - technical acceptance, records review, maintenance status verification, pre-delivery inspections, and lessor/lessee coordination
Maintenance event preparation - scope definition, material planning, vendor qualification, work package review, and on-site oversight
Structural and systems engineering support - defect assessment, repair design, SRM interpretation, OEM deviation requests, and dent-and-buckle chart management
AD/SB compliance strategy - applicability analysis, embodiment planning, and coordination with CAMO or competent authority
Teardown and part-out support — technical oversight of aircraft disassembly, component condition assessment, and asset recovery planning
If you have a project that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories, get in touch anyway. Most of the interesting work doesn't.
Training
Aviation is full of people who learned by doing - and full of organisations that never properly documented what that means. Our training programmes are built from real operational experience and designed for people who need to understand how the industry actually works, not how a textbook says it should.
Current programmes:
MRO fundamentals for non-technical staff — commercial, finance, and procurement teams working with or inside MRO organisations; covers base and line maintenance structure, key processes, cost drivers, and how technical decisions translate into commercial outcomes
Aviation supply chain essentials — procurement logic, condition codes, documentation standards, sourcing channels, and common mistakes that ground aircraft or create compliance exposure
Format: Online or in-person. Programmes can be delivered as standalone sessions or customised to your team's specific gaps. Group and individual formats available.
